Itinerary in detail:

Day 1: Arrive Lao Cai - Ta Phin & Cat Cat village. Overnight in Sapa (BLD)

The night before: You will be transferred to Ha Noi Train Station for taking night train to Lao Cai Town at 8.30 pm. You will share AC soft sleeper of 4 cabins. Spending night on train.
Am: Today’s morning: the train arrives Lao Cai Train Station at 5.30 am where our guide and driver welcome you with the sign “ Eco Travel” outside. Then the driver and guide take you to Sa Pa via the clouds which makes Sapa special and famous for tourists. Coming Sapa you see not only beautiful landscapes and wonderful cloud sights around mountains but also ladder rice paddy fields. On arrival Sa Pa you will stop at a local restaurant for a morning shower and have breakfast. Then this morning you will visit Ta Phin village where Red Dao and black Hmong ethnic minority hill tribes live. Here is the possibility to see the stunning scenery of the valley as well as visit the local cave. After that you go on visiting Ham Rong mountain also called The Dragon Jaws Mountain - a real eco-preservation area with secluded landscapes and rare plants typical of Northwest Vietnam. Back Sapa and have lunch at restaurant.

Pm: This afternoon our guide and driver will take you to follow a small road to Cat Cat village where you start walking on a small trail passing through a small village. Visit black H’mong people’s family and discovery life style of ethnic minority. Here you can enjoy traditional music performance of ethnic people for more experiences of their cultures. After that you go on walking down to the waterfall and Hydrogen power station built by French. Soon you will follow a small road to back Sapa. Have dinner at restaurant. This night you have more free time to wander around night market in Sapa town for more enjoyment of colors in minority people cultures and their purchasing activities. Overnight at hotel in Sa Pa.

Day 2: Sa Pa - Lao Chai - Homestay in Tavan village (BLD)

Am: After your breakfast at hotel. You will start your walking day tour to Lao Chai, a village of Black H’mong ethnic minority. Lao Chai is nestled in Muong Hoa Valley, at the foot of the impressive Hoang Lien Son Mountain Range and surrounded by rice terraces. You can have beautiful pictures of ladder rice terraces with full green or yellow of ripe rice on harvest. You will cross Muong Hoa River on hanging bridge to reach Lao Chai Village. You would visit a village school and a local house to learn about the H’mong life and culture. At this meeting you learn more about children of tribe village conditions to school.

Pm: We would find a nice place for picnic lunch before continue walking to Tavan Village where the Giay ethnic minority lives. Here you will stay overnight in a local house and enjoy a delicious dinner cooked by your tour guide and taste delicious dishes at stilthouse. Overnight at the home-stay. Today you have picnic lunch and dinner as well as homestay in Ta Van village. This night you can talk with friendly people at stilthouse to learn about their cultures. Overnight at stilhouse.

Day 3: Giang Ta Chai - Homestay in Ban Ho village (BLD)

Am: Today’s trek is short, but still the landscape is beautiful. Once you get energy for your last day trek after having breakfast with delicous cake made by minority people to taste their foods, you leave for Giang Ta Chai village where you can take a rest nearby a waterfall to enjoy the surroundings. You will continue through a bamboo forest, and when you have passed the forest we find a nice place to enjoy lunch. Heading up to Giang Ta Chai village of the red Zdao tribe where you will have lunch.

Pm: After lunch you will trek up and down hill jungle and pass the Muong Hoa river. Arrival Ban Ho village where you will spend second night homestay in the Tay family. Have dinner with minority people of Tay family. This night you have once more night to enjoy and meet other ethnic people in Sapa and have more experiences of the variety in their cultures and customs. Overnight at homestay.

Day 4: Ban Ho village - Su Pan - Sa Pa. Night train back Hanoi (BLD)

Am: Getting up early to enjoy the fresh air on the mountain and more experiences of activities in morning of local people. After your breakfast at stilthouse, you start your day trip to trek up to Su Pan where you have more chance to explore and experience the daily life of the village H'mong ethnic minority as well as take a refreshing swim in a local river. Then take the car back to the hotel you have time for shower and relax.

Pm: In the late afternoon you take the car back Lao Cai train station. You have dinner in restaurant near train station. Get on train back Ha Noi. Spending night on train. You will arrival Ha Noi ~ 5.00 am next morning. Please find your own way back to your hotel, a taxi normally costs you a set of 50,000 VND.
