RUSTIC CHAY LAP HOMESTAY & CYCLING TOURS
Rustic Chay Lap is the name of a special tourist product of Chay Lap Village as well as the name of the Community-based management board, located in Phuc Trach Commune, Bo Trach District of Quang Binh province, open to welcome guest at the beginning of 2009. This is the first rural tourists area of Quang Binh, which is attractive for those visitors coming here.
From Dong Hoi city, taking along the east branch of Ho Chi Minh Trail for 60 kilometers, you will see Khe Cat interchange, where Ho Chi Minh Trail divide into two branch. Turn left on the West Branch of this road and go ahead 7 kilometers you will reach to Rustic Chay Lap.
Chay Lap stands underneath the rising aloft limestone precipice with punctuate. Coming to this rural tourist regions, you will be warmly welcomed by the local friendly and hospitable people and stay in the wooden house standing in front of the fruit garden which surrounded by peanut and maize farm. The house was built in traditional style with columns and wooden frame that can unbind and reassemble in other place. The house only content under 20 visitor but you will be satisfied because all things were attended upon in details.
The most important activity of tourists coming to Chay Lap is to discover the nature, trek in old forest, take kayaking route on Chay River or even explore the imposing caves. This in an ideal combination between the tourist activities and penetrating deep into life of local people, that is a promising destination leaving the tourists an impression about the rural region.

Besides the homestay at Chay Lap, tourists can have chance to discover the most beautiful cave of Phong Nha-Ke Bang System, this is Paradise Cave, about 15 kilometers from Rustic Chay Lap and 70 kilometers from Dong Hoi City. Once coming this cave you will know why the explorer named this cave “Paradise” when he first discovered the cave in 2005.
The Paradise Cave is a dry cave and appreciated the most stunning cave in Phong Nha Caves System because of its size and unique making a deep impression for the visitors with the naturally primitive features like a landscape painting. After going 2 kilometer on transferring by golf car through the old forest with many kind of valuable and rare trees you will have an opportunity to discover the Cave with its great structure with 31,4 kilometers long and the stalactites and stalagmites growing inside. All these are the creation of nature, only the 1,1 kilometers wooden pathway through the cave were man-made. You will leave more 1 and haft an hour to explore the cave but the feeling about the beauty of Paradise Cave will still last in a long time in your mind.

Day 1: Hue to Rustic Chay Lap – kayaking route
A.m: At 8:00 a.m, our guide greets you at hotel to depart from Hue for Quang Binh province. It would take you about 4 hours on 1A National High Way and passing to Ho Chi Minh Trail with the massive green mountain scenery along the street then you see the sign “Phong Nha-Ke Bang National Park” on the left of main road. Drive ahead 18 kilometers in turning left of Ho Chi Minh West Branch Trail and you will arrive at Rustic Chay Lap at around lunch time. Check in homestay enjoy your meal in traditional way of cooking foods of Mr. Khai, a truly farmer in this country, and his friendly family.
P.m: This afternoon, you will take a kayaking route for more interesting and exciting trip. Beginning at Rustic Chay Lap on the Tro Oc River, going on ahead for about 1,3 kilometers then steering right into the Chay River and passing Chay Lap Village on the right. Continuing this way you will reach Dark Cave on the left of river. This cave is the part of Phong Nha Cave System and the water here has an special green color and is very cold. It is interesting way to admire at close Range Station looking up from its mouth in kayak. Back on the river and past the Ranger Station, the water are still as you glide along the valley river. Come back homestay to have babeque for dinner providing by Mr.Khai family and you can join with them in easy cooking. Stay over night in homestay.

Day 2: Cycling to Paradise Cave
A.m: Having breakfast in homestay family to be willing for a cycling trip at 7:30 A.m. Take yourself a mountain bike with our guide leaving Chay Lap for “ Thien Duong Cave”. It will take you for more 2 hours to reach Paradise Cave on Ho Chi Minh West Branch Trail. On this way you can see the imposing rock mountains around of white clouds in the morning, sometimes the birds singing in the corner of mountain or behind the clump trees, all these created a beautiful picture in your impressive trip. The Paradise Cave is a dry cave and appreciated the most stunning cave in Phong Nha Caves System because of its size and unique making a deep impression for the visitors. Cycling back to homestay in the same way, check out homestay and being transferred to Hue city. Returning your hotel at around 5:00 p.m. Your tour finishes here.
