‘The uncovered paradise to discover’ 

The amazingly beautiful Ba be lakes and surrounding area is truly unspoiled. Eco offers a three-day tour that includes canoeing through a cave and into all three lakes, short trekking in the Ba be National Park and staying in a traditional stilt house of the Tay ethnic minority. This relaxing tour is for those with a little more time and who do not want to run into hordes of other tourists! 

Itinerary:

Day 1: Hanoi - Ba Be Lakes ~240km (L,D)

Pick-up from your hotel at 7.00 a.m., we leave for Bac Kan, the province of Ba Be Lakes. During the 6hour-drive, we will drop in at Thai Nguyen city for one hour visit to Vietnam Museum of Ethnology (take a coffee break here if you like). For about 3 hours ahead before noon that we can arrive at the destination, we will stop at Bac Kan town for lunch (just a good local food stall). Then, until 3.00 pm, we arrive to the village of Tay minority people inside the Ba Be National Park. Check-in our home stay and refresh by a short leisurely walk in the Nat’l around (swimming in the lakes). Back home for dinner and free talk with the very warm and friendly host (you will learn quite a lot about the culture and the locals’ daily life from these moments). We will have a sound and safe sleep on their traditional stilt house.

Day 2: Ba Be Lakes – boating and canoeing along the lakes (B, L, D)

Wake up by the bird chirping, this will be the scarce moment of tranquility that we feel the isolation from the cities bustling and very close to nature. Breakfast then start discovering the subtle and imposing beauty of the area just on the local canoes (rafts). We glide along the river and through the pretty cave to a powerful waterfall, the whole journey offers great natural scenery. After lunch at a food stall nearby the waterfall, we canoe our hearts out into the tranquil Ba Be lakes for its majesty, great and so fresh swimming here. Trek after that through the ethnic minority villages back our home. Dinner then sleep the second night on stilts house.

Day 3: Ba Be Lakes - Hanoi (B, L ) 

Once more day to spend time and breathe the morning fresh air of the villages.  Have breakfast and have more leisure time for walking in the park. We also visit the park on a bicycle or motorbike to get great fun. Then we pack up everything and say goodbye to our new friends for leaving back to Ha Noi by 10.00 am. If the last day in Ba Be fall on Sunday, we are very lucky to have chance to stop to visit Kermis - a typical local market in the highlands area on the way. We have lunch on the way. We arrive Ha Noi at about 5.30 pm. Tour ends of hotel in Ha Noi.
