MEKONG DELTA / 3 DAYS

Itinerary:

Day 1: Ho Chi Minh – Cai Be – Chau Doc. (L, D) 

At 8.00 am our guide and driver will drive you to Cai Be from Ho Chi MInh, we will make a boat trip to visit floating market to see daily life and to do their special business activities on the delta of local people. Then we cruise over mighty Mekong River to Island and make a walking around fruit orchards as well as have chance to taste local fruits. Next we take a boat to Vinh Long. After having lunch we take a coach trip to Long Xuyen for exploring the traditional village where makes incense stick before heading onto Chau Doc for your first night. Overnight at hotel in Chau Doc.

Day 2: Chau Doc – Can Tho. (B, L, D) 

Today we will get up early for making a cruise through the amazing riverside market to see busy activity on the river and listen to a plenty of sounds as well as see colors and smells of morning activities of local people here. Cruising along the river we will have chance to visit and see the floating village where local people raise a variety fishes underneath hundreds of shelters which is a strongness economic field of Mekong Delta farmers to export markets al over the world.  Then we will go on discovering the ethnic Cham village and visit their Mubarak Mosque. Here we can see the local people to make their traditional weaving. And then we make a visiting to the famous Lady Chua Xu Temple which was built in 1820 and we walk up the sacred Sam Mountain. From the top of the mountain we can have the whole view over the vast plains into Cambodia. After lunch we continue on to Can Tho. On the way we will stop at a bird sanctuary. On arrival Can Tho, check in hotel. Have dinner at restaurant. Overnight at hotel in Can Tho.

Day 3: Can Tho – Ho Chi Minh. (B, L)

In the early morning we will start for a boat trip to Cai Rang floating markets and get the your own feeling to take part in or see purchase activity in the floating market with a plenty of local fruits and other goods which has special character of local people in the delta. Then we have a long distance cruise on canals and walk on a quiet countryside road to take in the magnificent scenery. Seeing daily work of local people along the canals and on the village, we can know more about their life as well as their daily routine work. After that we try a Xe Loi which is a local colonial-era cab pulled by motorbike along the countryside road. Have break for lunch.  In the afternoon we will leave Can Tho and return to Ho Chi Minh. We are back in Ho Chi MInh around 18:00. End of tour.
