Itinerary detail

Day 1: Hue – DMZ – Khe Sanh ~ 240 kms (L D)

Am: Our guide welcome you at hotel in Hue city and make acquainted to motorbike. You will try to ride it before riding motorbike to leave Hue for Quang Tri province for visiting. Firsts of all, you will visit Hien Luong Bridge, which crosses the Ben Hai River at the middle of the DMZ and marks the former border between North and South Vietnam from 1954 to 1972 where exist Museum, Ben Hai river, the 17th Parallel. Vinh Moc tunnels – a network of tunnels built by villagers seeking shelter from bombings during the Vietnam War, and here is the place where an entire village lived for two and a half years. Visiting these tunnels, you can see and admire the specialty of Vietnamese people in the war, in this complex grew to including wells, kitchens, and rooms for each family and spaces for healthcare. Visiting this site, you can see and admire its specialty by your own eyes. Riding back Dong Ha Town and have lunch at local restaurant.

Pm: This afternoon you go on riding to Highway No 9 to Khe Sanh Combat Base – one of the most famous sieges of American Vietnamese War, and was the site of a United State base that fell under attack in early 1968. You see the old airfield of red dirt stills remain. Enter to the museum of Ta Con airport to see the things in nature of the fierce war, and how hard Quang Tri people fight against the enemy! Only step your foot to the DMZ area you can have deeply sight of the hot pot in the war as well as admire the hero of local people. Have dinner at local restaurant. Overnight at hotel in Quang Tri.

Day 2: Khe Sanh – A Luoi ~ 130km (B L D)

Am: After breakfast, you continue riding motorbike to leave Khe Sanh and cross through Dakrong Bridge, the starting point of Highway 15, one of the main branches of the Ho Chi Minh Trail, which leads south to the A Shau valley and the famous “Hamburger Hill”, across over Thanh Han River. Come and meet Ka Tu, Ta Oi, Van Kieu people on the way in their villages to know about their customs and ways of living. Along Ho Chi Minh Trails, you admire imposing forest of Vietnam with green color covering everywhere. A Luoi is in the area of Green Corridor in Central. It ranges to Bach Ma National Park where rare animals and plants have. Arrive A Luoi, check in hotel. Have lunch at local restaurant.

Pm: In the afternoon, you ride your motorbike around A Luoi town for exploring beauties of this new developing town of Hue province. Next, you ride cross villages to visit minority people and walk around to see the way they make their traditional products such as textile waving, bamboo…; and learn more about their traditional stilt house called “Rong” house. They are the symbol having deeply profound community of people here because there are the main places taking community activities: meeting, welcoming guests, making ceremonial offerings, worshiping ancestors… under the control of the oldest person in village. You will have chance to enjoy traditional music performance show of minority people and experience of their cultures. Back town centre and have dinner at local restaurant. Overnight at hotel.

Day 3: A Luoi – A roang – Prao – Giang Town ~150 kms (B L D)

Am: Wake up early morning to enjoy the fresh air in the mountainous area. You spend your time to walk around and visit at a local market to enjoy purchasing activities of minority people in town centre. You can come to A Luoi market, the top culture of this town, to see the region concentrate almost the agricultural, hand-made products and useful things necessary for people life here. This market has many kinds of goods combine between mountainous and plain products being suitable for new coming person or tourists in town. This is one of the ways to get experiences of minority people community on Central Vietnam Highland. Have breakfast at local restaurant. You prepare your motorbike and go on your trip to Ho Chi Minh trail for more exploration. Leaving A Luoi town, you ride to A–Roang village on Ho Chi Minh trail (25 kms) where you can visit the hamlet of Ta-Oi People as well as their stilt house. At this village, you have more experiences with minority people with handicraft villages like weaving, textile. You spend your time to relax at Aroang Hot Spring to get refreshment. Moreover, along the way on Ho Chi Minh Trail you have chance to see many beautiful views of mountainous and forests. It takes you more 80 kms along Ho Chi Minh Trail to arrive Prao village. On the way, stopover to visit Ta-Lang hamlet of Katu people and DRO-ROONG ethnic people and this is a good chance for you to see traditional manual brocade and have lunch at local restaurant.

Pm: In the afternoon, you ride ahead to Giang Town on Ho Chi Minh Trail. Arrive at Giang in late afternoon, check in hotel. Have dinner at local restaurant. Overnight in Giang Town.

Day 4: Giang – My Son – Hoi An ancient town ~ 120km (B L)

Am: Have breakfast at local restaurant. This morning you are on motorbike to Ta Bin village to enjoy the traditional manual brocade. Visiting Dai Hong town, you can see the panorama of countryside in the mountainous of Viet Nam Central as well as meet and see daily activities of local people. Continuing riding to Duy Xuyen town before visiting My Son Holly Land where was the Kingdom of Cham Pa to enjoy the architecture of Cham people built in redbrick in 11th century. UNESCO recognized it as a World Cultural Heritage Sites. Come to the place where Cham ancestor had architecture to make redbrick, which had the mysterious way of building and no one can explain and make them today in the same way. It also surprises for those who are curious with architectural art. Enjoy traditional music performance played and showed by young girls and men in their colorful traditional uniforms to learn more of their cultural. Have lunch at restaurant.

Pm: Afterward you ride straight to Hoi An Ancient Town where is far away from My Son Holly Land about 40 kms. Hoi An is known as a centre of shopping with colorful lantern shops, silk shops… with reasonable price for making suits or buy souvenirs. Arrive Hoi An, check in your hotel. End of tour.
