Pm: This afternoon,we drive to visit the Angkor National Museum, learn about “the Legend Revealed” and see how the Khmer Empire has been established during the golden period. Continue to visit the Killing Fields at Wat Thmey, get to know some information about Khmer Rouge Regime or called the year of Zero (1975 – 1979) where over 2 million of Khmer people has been killed. Next visit to Preah Ang Check Preah Angkor, the secret place where local people go praying for good luck or safe journey. Evening, enjoy buffet dinner with Apsara Dance Show at Amazon Angkor. Day 2: Rolous Group – Small Circuit. O/n in Siem Reap
Am: Have breakfast at hotel. In the morning – we drive to explore the Roluos group. The Roluos group lies 15km (10 miles) southwest of Siem Reap and includes three temples - Bakong, PrahKo and Lolei - dating from the late 9th century and corresponding to the ancient capital of Hariharalaya, from which the name of Lolei is derived. Remains include 3 well-preserved early temples that venerated the Hindu gods. The bas-reliefs are some of the earliest surviving examples of Khmer art. Modern-day villages surround the temples. Have lunch at the restaurant.
Pm: In the afternoon, we visit small circuit including the unique brick sculptures of PrasatKravan, the jungle intertwined Ta Prohm, made famous in Angelina Jolie’s Tomb Raider movie. Ta Prohm, one of the popular temple in the area Take a leisurely stroll through this wondrous site, with giant fig and kapok trees strangling the ancient stonework in a photogenic interplay of man and nature. You also visit as well Takeo, Thommanon and Chau Say Tevoda. Free to have your own dinner. Overnight at hotel.
Day 3: Angkor Wat – Grand Circuit. O/n in Siem Reap
Am: Have breakfast at hotel. In the morning, we drive to visit the World Heritage Site; visit the South Gate of Angkor Thom which is famous for its series of colossal human faces carved in stone, the impressive Bayon Temple, the Royal Enclosure, Phimeanakas, the Elephant Terrace and the Terrace of the Leper King. Continue to seeing the architectural masterpiece of Angkor Wat. We stroll around this massive monument, exploring the many galleries with columns, libraries, pavilions, courtyards and ponds full of water reflecting the towering temple. Have lunch at the restaurant.
Pm: In the afternoon, visit Preah Khan temple. Built by the King Jayavarman VII, Preah Khan is, like Ta Prohm, a place of towered enclosures and shoulder-hugging corridors. Unlike Ta Prohm, however, Preah Khan is in a reasonable state of preservation and ongoing restoration efforts should maintain and even improve this situation. Continue your visit to NeakPean, a fountain (built in the middle of a pool and representing the paradisiacal Himalayan mountain-lake), Ta Som, Eastern Mebon, guarded at its corner by stone figures of harnessed elephants, some of which are still in a reasonable state of preservation, and Pre Rup, the mountain-temple until sunset. Day 4: BanteaySrei – Tonle Sap Lake. O/n in Siem Reap
Am: Have breakfast at hotel. In the morning, we drive out (35 km) and visit the famous BanteaySrei (Citadel of Women). On the way back stop at Pradark Village, where you will see the villagers making palm sugar, handicraft for selling to tourist. It’s a nice chance for you to see the local people living at the country side with their struggling for daily life. Have lunch at the restaurant.
Pm: In the afternoon, visit the floating village of Chong Khneas, located 10 kilometers south of Siem Reap. Visit the village and take an excursion in a traditional wooden boat on the Tonle Sap Lake, Cambodia’s biggest natural water body and, one of the largest in Asia. The experience is wonderful as we pass by floating village, friendly children in small boats and fishermen. Free to have your own dinner. Overnight at hotel.
Day 5: Siem Reap Departure
Have breakfast at hotel. Free time to relax at hotel. Depending on your departure Flight time, transfer to airport for departure to next destination. End of Service!
